Overview 01

What id-mem is.

id-mem is a memory runtime for agents and teams. It is built to preserve one shared world while still allowing different agents to read that world through different lenses.

Runtime, not chat history

id-mem is not a nicer prompt over a vector database and it is not a chat UI with saved conversations. The system takes raw interaction, forms structured memory, and makes that memory retrievable under explicit control.

The key distinction is that memory is formed before it is asked. Ingest, normalization, extraction, authority handling, temporal state, and retrieval are all part of one runtime.

  • stores a shared workspace world
  • applies agent perspective at read time
  • treats authority and time as memory semantics

Who it is for

The product is built for teams, agents, and control planes that need memory to stay coherent as more sources and more clients are added.

That makes it more suitable for operational multi-agent systems than for a single-chat consumer memory assistant.
